Pre-school children have a much more structured and learning focused routine but still very much focused on learning through play. We are registered with Torfaen Education Department as an Early Years Provider of Education and have Estyn accreditation and can provide care for up to 24 pre-

We will encourage your child to play, share and interact with other children. Your child will be encouraged to sing many rhymes and songs with actions, and will participate in circle time twice a day to develop talking and listening skills. There will be plenty of art and craft activities available, work produced will be displayed at nursery and sent home to praise children’s achievements. Your child will also sit for quiet stories and have more physical play outdoors. They will be helped to hold a pencil correctly and encouraged to learn shapes, letters, numbers and first writing.
To the rear of the building, we have a large outdoor play area that is enclosed by a high stone wall with its own direct access for the children. The play area comprises a decked area with an oak shelter and a astro turf safety surfaced general play area. We have a full and varied range of outdoor toys suitable for all ages and seasons. This area is fully enclosed, supervised and is used whatever the weather.
